Commitment to Quality - ISO:9001-2000 + 'Q-Mark Plus'
One of the really great things about choosing a Classic Timber -Frame Home is the freedom you get to change any design to suit your specific site and personal tastes. Or to design your self-build timber-framed home - either from one of a selection of classic 'kit' home designs, or as a full design & build housing project - totally from scratch.
Consequently our Classic Homes service is directed at those people whose discerning tastes yearn for the quality of life and living environment that our foreign cousins have enjoyed for several centuries.
Advanced Standards
Thanks to our Advanced Timber-Frame Technology, this means you get the same high quality of engineered timber-frame structure as they enjoy, only to an even higher standard of comfort, energy saving, and leisured living.
And whether you are a housing developer, contract builder, or self-builder, you are assured of the same high standards of architectural timber-frame design, structural engineering, accurate manufacturing, and professional site services for all your Ideal Home ideas and requirements.

Designing Your New Development
Choose a standard house design, or design your own from scratch. Order just the design, the frame, or the completed house. Whatever your needs you can select from a menu of products and specialist timberframe services to suit your circumstances. We are just as pleased to provide site survey, architectural and town & country planning services, as we are to deliver a complete kit house, or even build your complete home for you, anywhere in the UK, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland (and some mainland EU locations as well - you can even find our houses as far away as the Falklands!)

Aspirations & Inspirations
The Classic Timber-Frame Homes section below presents a brief selection of British, North American, Australian, and Scandinavian house-plans - all designs that have been heavily influenced by UK and other European aspirations, tastes and ideas.
Each example gives floor areas with design and building costs guidelines for a fully completed development of one house, depending on specification, location and the amount of 'self build' input. Please remember that these costs do not include the land or any infrastructure needed.
Use these inspirational ideas to stimulate your own initial thoughts, then send us your rough sketch plans and a note of your ideas and requirements - or ask for one of our technical representatives to contact you for a free, no obligation discussion. We can then help you realise your dream home in the most minute detail.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.

This range is full of intricate details with many large windows to allow for lots of sunshine to enter the home. Designed to bring the outside inside, these homes have private, sun protecting balconies and vast wrap-around verandas usually on two floors. To avoid floods, overcome poor ground conditions, or for simply extra car parking, some are elevated on glulam legs. Usually timber-clad, these homes have been designed to accommodate the Australian lifestyle - lots of integrated spaces, open kitchen/dining room/lounge areas for the social family, and some with ground-floor bedrooms for coolness. Colourful timber treatments, intricate craftsmanship, large family areas, car ports and roof gardens are just some of the associated features of these homes. UKTFA, TRA, TRADA
As members of the UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA), the Truss Rafter Association (TRA), and the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA), we are at the cutting edge of advanced timber-frame technology. This means that all of our clients can benefit from the most up to date techniques, methods and materials in their projects.

House Builders Federation
So that we can assist our clients in pitching the size and value of their development project at the right level - and the right market (in the same way as we do for ourselves) we are members of the national House Builders Federation (HBF). This keeps us abreast of all the latest changes in planning and building regulations, as well as market trends, prices and land availability nationwide. It also enables us to provide our house builder and developer clients with valuable marketing and promotional assistance.

Sustainable Development
To help our clients with their choice of the most environmentally sustainable building techniques, materials, components, and equipment for their project, we are members of the Association of Environmentally Conscious Builders (AECB), and the Green Register of Construction Professionals (Green Register). This both demonstrates our commitment to environmentally sustainable development and keeps us at the forefront of environmental design thinking and technological advance.

FSC
For those of our clients that take sustainable development really seriously, in December 2003 we became the first, and so far only, company in the UK to be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for the design, manufacture and supply of engineered timber structures. Particularly applicable to organisations like Housing Associations, Governmental Authorities, their architects and main contractors, this enables us to provide such clients with the certainty that the timbers in the timber-frame structures provided by us meet these very strict environmental standards.

Commitment to Quality - ISO:9001-2000 + 'Q-Mark Plus'
To ensure that we always deliver consistent quality and service to our clients, in 2003 we became the first organisation in England and Wales to receive the coveted, international ISO:9001-2000 accreditation for the design, manufacture and erection of engineered timber structures. Recognised by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), it assures our customers that all of the procedures and processes that go into their project are of the highest and most consistent standard.
In our drive to deliver only the best quality goods to our clients, we also became the first, and so far only, company in England and Wales - and one of only 5 in the UK - to be awarded the UK Timber Frame Association's 'Q-Mark Plus' accreditation for materials and craftsmanship in our structurally engineered timber frame products.
