Flooring

Care is necessary in the selection of all flooring materials.  

First, it is prudent to ensure that their serviceability for wear, moisture stability, thermal conductivity, sound transmission, and the like compliment the structure of your building.  

Second, they should properly reflect the quality and appearance of interior design that you wish to achieve.

If you are looking for hardwood or softwood floor surfaces, then we can supply timbers sourced from suitable sustainable forestry, including FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) flooring materials, if required.

Should you prefer timber flooring composites, laminated floor surfaces, or even waterproof tiled floors, then these are also available. Likewise, you can choose from a range of other innovative sustainable components and floor finishes, like bamboo, sea-grass, carpet tiles, congoleum, cork, sheet flooring, fitted carpets, and even Chinese, Turkish, Persian and other rugs and carpet squares - all designed to give you those beautiful floors needed to complete your building.

In all cases it is desirable for the floor structures be designed to receive the final floor finishes.  For example, if waterproof tiling is required, then the sub floors and joists must specifically provide for this.  Similarly, if your preference is for under floor heating, then both the sub floor, insulation, and sub deck will need to provide for this, while the floor finish will need to take account of relative humidity during full, partial and nil occupation of the building.
