Education
In 2001, in partnership with a leading firm
of European architects, Austin, Smith & Lord, Benfield ATT
won the National "Flexible Schools" competition for
a large local authority in outer London.
After successfully building two trial school
blocks in early 2002 to test and develop a prefabricated system
of environmentally-aware construction for these highly sensitive
and demanding needs, a number of further schools have already
been completed and several more ordered.
Built
in the Holidays
Our copyrighted method of 'kit' buildings enables us to provide
single and double classroom blocks, which can be supplied and
erected in a very short period of time (typically, the twin classroom
block shown above was started and completed during the school
summer holiday). This enables classrooms to be used immediately
as soon as the new school term begins.
